Clarks Beach and Waiau Pa Community Events and Business Association Meeting
Clarks Beach & Waiau Pa Community & Business Association Meeting
Next Meeting - Thursday 11th September 2025 - 6.30pm
Your Community and Business Association (CBA) meets every 2nd Thursday of the month from February to October. Make it your regular night to meet your neighbours. Interesting and varied programme. Open to all.
Our next public meeting, Thursday September
11th at the Golf Club
Time: 6.30 for a 7pm start. The bar will be open before the meeting. Come and meet your neighbours.
Main Speaker: Doyle Smith, Project Manager for the Nakhle Group will give us a preview of what’s planned for the next stage of the sub-division. Bring your questions and feedback. Doyle and company owner, Daniel Nakhle, want to hear from us.
Our 10-minute Member Spot is Ryan Ruthe, who grew up in this community. Once a youngster helping to build the old Skate Park, then spending hours scooting around it with his mates, these days Ryan moves much larger chunks of earth! He’s owner of Next Level Civil, a very busy civil engineering firm. If you’re planning on some earthworks on your property, what do you need to think about? Bring your questions and ask Ryan on the 11th.
Come early, catch up with your neighbours and meet new residents. The bar will be open until the meeting begins.

Clarks Beach & Waiau Pa Community Events
CBA Sunflower Competition
Our sparkly and enthusiastic Community Champion, Rachel Woodworth, is heading up the
team who’ve organised the community’s first Sunflower Competition.
All the seeds donated by Rebekah Ryan of Franklin Fresh were handed out over this last weekend. It’s wonderful that so many of the community got in behind the project.
Results of the competition will be announced at our Community Christmas Party on 29th November at the Waiau Pa Hall.
If you missed on grabbing a bag of seeds for the competition, no worries. You can still grow sunflowers. How pretty the community will be with all those smiling flowers peeking over people’s fences.

Calf Club Day, Saturday 11th October 2025, Waiau Pa Primary School
A country school’s Calf Club Day is always a great outing. This year our hard-working PTA is holding it on a Saturday so working people can more easily attend.
It’s their major fundraiser for the year. Head along to the school and share the love.
